Shipping policy

These Shipping Terms & Conditions apply when you purchase the products on the website (asmustoys.com / store.asmustoys.com). Each product is sold and fulfilled by Asmus Toys, Inc. (Asmus Toys), and shipped by a third party courier company ("Designated Carrier") as mentioned later. These terms and conditions apply in addition to Asmus Toys' Terms of Service and any other applicable terms and policies which govern the sale of the products. Please review our procedures, carrier information, and international delivery terms regarding your order.

1. Compliance with Applicable Laws

When ordering from asmustoys.com / store.asmustoys.com, you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the destination to which your products are being delivered ("destination"). You are also responsible for assuring that your products may be lawfully imported into the country of importation.

2. Processing & Handling

Asmus Collectibles aims to get your orders out as quickly as possible.

  • In-Stock Items: Orders for in-stock products are typically processed and dispatched within 2 business days (Monday – Friday) from our warehouse.

  • Pre-Order Items: Once the production phase is complete and items arrive at our stockroom, shipping will be arranged. Shipments are processed according to the timing of the balance payment made; customers who complete their final payment earlier will be prioritized in the shipping queue.

3. Transfer of Title and Risk of Loss/Theft

All transactions on this website are made pursuant to a Shipment Contract

  • Legal Transfer: You agree that the legal Title (ownership) and the Risk of Loss, Theft, or Damage pass to you immediately upon our delivery of the goods to the common carrier (FedEx, SF Express, or EMS).

  • Carrier as Buyer’s Agent: The carrier acts as your agent for the purposes of delivery. Once the carrier takes possession of the shipment, Asmus Collectibles’ contractual obligation to deliver the product is considered fulfilled.

  • Final Authority: In the event of a delivery dispute, the carrier’s tracking log and "Delivered" status shall serve as the final and conclusive authority. Asmus Collectibles is not liable for "porch piracy", items lost, stolen, or disputed after a "Delivered" status is issued by the carrier. 

4. Carriers & Tracking

We utilize reliable international carriers to ensure your collectibles arrive safely. Our primary partners include:

  • EMS / Air (ChungHwa/Taiwan Post)

  • FedEx

  • SF Express

  • Delivery Reminders: We kindly remind our customers to actively monitor their shipping status using the provided tracking number. Staying updated on your package's journey ensures you are available for delivery attempts and can respond promptly to carrier notifications, preventing unnecessary returns or customs delays.

5.Signature Options and Instructions Of The Delivery

To ensure the security of your high-value collectible, "Signature Required" is the default service for our shipments. This instruction directs the carrier to only release the package upon obtaining a signature from a resident at the delivery address (who, in certain regions, must be of legal age).

  • Courier Protocols: You acknowledge that while Asmus Collectibles requests signature confirmation, local courier protocols and "Safe Drop" policies may vary.

  • Denied Signatures: You agree that a signature record provided by the carrier (FedEx, SF Express, or EMS) serves as definitive proof of receipt. Asmus Collectibles cannot be held responsible if a customer claims a signature is unrecognized or "not theirs" once the courier has verified delivery to the correct address.

  • Refusal of Signature: If you (the buyer) waive the signature requirement through a courier’s personal account app (e.g., FedEx Delivery Manager or My SF), you assume full liability for any loss or theft. Asmus Collectibles will not be responsible for packages stolen after a "No Signature" delivery is requested by the customer.

6. Shipping Rates & Subsidized Costs

  • Our Subsidy: To provide the best value, Asmus Collectibles partially subsidizes the shipping fees for every order. The fee at checkout is a discounted rate and does not represent the full cost of international freight.

  • Coverage: This fee covers transportation only. It does not include any local taxes, VAT, or import duties charged by your country’s customs office.

7. International Taxes & Import Duties (DDU)

All shipments are sent DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid).

  • Import Fees: All import duties, customs fees, and local taxes (VAT/GST) are determined by your local government.

  • Payment of Fees: These fees are collected by the courier (via their portal, invoice, or billing system). These payments are made to your local authorities and not to Asmus Collectibles.

  • No Under-Valuation: We are legally required to declare the correct value of the goods on all customs forms.

8. Shipping Restrictions & Re-shippers

  • Address Accuracy: We ship to the address provided at checkout. Please ensure your shipping information is up to date.

  • Third-Party Re-shippers: Our liability and "Missing Parcel" warranty end once the package is delivered to the address provided at checkout. We are not responsible for damage or loss occurring during any subsequent transit via a forwarding service.

9. Refused or Unclaimed Shipments

If a shipment is returned or abandoned because the recipient declined to pay import duties or was unavailable to claim the package:

  • The original shipping fee is non-refundable.

  • The un-subsidized portion of the shipping cost (the extra amount Asmus paid on your behalf to the carrier) will be deducted from any available refund.

  • Any return freight charges or abandonment penalties billed by the carrier will be the customer's responsibility and deducted from the refund.

10. Gifts

In the case of gifts or other purchases made on behalf of another recipient, you also agree to secure and grant the applicable authorizations, including payment of Import Fees, on behalf of the recipient designated in your order. Products shipped as gifts will be marked as such, but the cost of the products may be stated on the customs forms.

11. Delivery Time and Pre-Orders Exclusions

The shipping days can vary upon a variety of factors, i.e. the customs clearance or the carrier workload. You are the person to give care to the shipping status of your parcel and to provide personal information to your customs officers when it is needed to expedite the shipping process.

For In-Stock Products,

(1) Regular Air via ChungHwa/Taiwan Post Service: 20+ working days.
(2) EMS via ChungHwa/Taiwan Post Service: 5-10 working days for Asia countries, or 10-15 working days for others if applicable.
(3) FEDEX: 5-7 working days.
(5) SF Express: 3-5 working days for China, Hong Kong, and Macau.

For Pre-Order Products, your order(s) will be fulfilled in the order of the date when the requested balance is cleared. You accept that pre-orders will be fulfilled in priority, and any pre-orders that are cancelled in exchange for buying the product when it is set as "in-stock", the refund of the deposit will not be granted, nor this type of orders be guaranteed by the rule of orders fulfillment (2-working-days order fulfillment).

While we strive to deliver your order within the estimated time frame, actual delivery times may vary due to any other factors beyond our control.

12. Customs Inspections & Data Privacy

Asmus Collectibles may provide specific order, shipment, and product information to our designated carriers.

  • Information Sharing: Carriers may share this information with customs, postal, and tax authorities to facilitate clearance.

  • Inspections: International shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs and/or postal authorities. Asmus Collectibles is not responsible for damage to packaging or products caused by government inspections. Please visit our Privacy Policy for further details.

Asmus Toys reserves the right to amend this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page, and you are encouraged to review this policy periodically for any updates.
